Brothers and sisters, today we begin a journey through the life of Jacob—a man whose story is marked by struggle, transformation, and the unshakable faithfulness of God. As we open the Scriptures, we encounter Jacob at a pivotal moment. He has deceived his father, Isaac, and his brother, Esau, securing for himself the blessing meant for the firstborn. Jacob’s actions were cunning, even sinful, and they have torn his family apart. Esau burns with anger, and Jacob is forced to flee for his life.
